Description
Alice Sterling Cook was a member of the Radcliffe College Class of 1896. This scrapbook contains class schedules, songs and verse, and memorabilia from Radcliffe events including Class Day and the Senior Lunch. It also includes theater programs, menus, calling cards, and invitations to club events from her years at Radcliffe. Page 32 contains a description of Radcliffe which Cook wrote for a newspaper in 1895. There are also clippings and programs documenting her graduation from Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1892; Cook was valedictorian and class president. In addition, the scrapbook contains memorabilia from several years following her graduation from Radcliffe. Included are wedding announcements from her wedding to Frank Gaylord Cook, theater and symphony programs, as well as material from a 1902 Radcliffe reunion and other events at Radcliffe and Harvard University. The scrapbook also contains several programs from church services at the First Baptist Church and Old South Church in Boston.
